Privacy Policy
Rynel is designed as a personal dream journal where users can record private entries, revisit past dreams, and optionally explore AI-generated imagery or interpretation tools. This page explains what information may be handled through the app, the reasons it may be used, and the choices available to you.
1. Data Collection
Information handled by Rynel generally falls into a few categories. First, there is content you decide to place into the app, such as dream journal entries, titles, notes, tags, mood-related details, dates, and any images you choose to save in your archive. If you use optional AI features, Rynel may also send the dream text you type, paste, or create from speech recognition for that specific draft.
Second, certain account or contact details may be received if you create an account, request support, or communicate with us directly. This may include an email address, account identifiers, and the contents of your support message.
Third, the app may gather limited technical information needed for operation and maintenance. Examples can include device model, operating system version, app version, language settings, crash diagnostics, general usage events, and approximate network or region information derived from your connection. This helps with reliability, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and service improvement.
- User-provided content: dream entries, notes, prompts, saved images, tags, and related journal information.
- Optional AI input: the dream text you type, paste, or create from speech recognition when you choose Generate image + insight.
- Account and communication details: email address and messages sent to support.
- Device and usage details: diagnostic logs, feature activity, technical identifiers, and performance information.
Rynel does not require access to contacts for ordinary use. Photo library access may be requested only if you choose to import or save images. Location access is not required for the core dream journaling experience. If any permission is requested in the future, it will be tied to a specific app feature and subject to your device settings.
The app may also rely on third-party software development kits or infrastructure tools for hosting, analytics, security monitoring, crash reporting, account functions, or AI processing. Those tools may receive technical or content-related information as needed to perform their role. For Rynel's current optional AI generation flow, the named provider is SiliconFlow.
2. Data Usage
The information described above is used to operate the app and deliver the features you choose to use. Dream entries and related materials are processed so they can be saved, displayed, organized, synced where applicable, and returned to you across sessions or devices. If you request AI-assisted features, relevant input may be used to generate a dream image plus the title, summary, interpretation path, symbols, and related echoes shown for that draft.
Technical and usage information may be utilized to keep Rynel stable, investigate bugs, monitor performance, detect misuse, and improve the product over time. Messages sent to support may be used to answer questions, resolve account issues, and document service requests.
Rynel is not built around third-party advertising inside the app. Information is not sold for cross-platform behavioral advertising. If product announcements, service notices, or important account-related emails are sent, they would be limited to operational or business communications rather than broad promotional campaigns unless you separately opt in where required by law.
Data may be shared with service providers only where necessary to run the app, maintain infrastructure, support AI-based features, comply with law, protect the rights or safety of users, or complete a corporate transaction such as a merger, financing event, or asset transfer. You can leave this feature off if you do not want dream text sent for AI generation.
3. Data Storage & Security
Rynel content and supporting account information may be stored on your device, on secure cloud infrastructure, or through a combination of local and remote storage depending on how the app is configured and which features you use. AI-related requests may also be temporarily processed through remote systems in order to return generated results. For the optional AI flow, the app sends the selected dream text to SiliconFlow through https://api.siliconflow.cn/v1.
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. These measures may include encrypted network transmission, access controls, environment segregation, credential protections, and logging for security review. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely immune from risk, but practical steps are taken to protect the information entrusted to the service.
Retention periods depend on the type of information and the purpose for which it was obtained. Journal content and account details may remain available until you delete them, close your account, or request erasure, unless a longer retention period is required for legal obligations, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or backup recovery cycles. Diagnostic records may be kept for a shorter operational period as needed to maintain and secure the app.
4. Third-Party Services
Some parts of Rynel may depend on outside providers that assist with infrastructure, authentication, analytics, crash diagnostics, customer support workflows, data hosting, payment processing if ever introduced, and optional AI-powered functionality. These providers act under their own terms and privacy practices, and they may process information on our behalf in order to perform contracted services.
Rynel's current third-party AI provider is SiliconFlow. When you explicitly enable Optional AI and tap Generate image + insight, Rynel sends the dream text you type, paste, or create from speech recognition for that draft to SiliconFlow using https://api.siliconflow.cn/v1. SiliconFlow uses that dream text to return a generated image and the title, summary, interpretation path, symbols, and related echoes displayed in the app.
You can leave this feature off, decline the consent prompt, or turn it off later in Profile > Trust & support. If you keep Optional AI off, Rynel does not send dream text to SiliconFlow for this feature.
5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you specific rights over your personal information. These rights can include asking for access to the data associated with you, requesting correction of inaccurate material, seeking deletion, obtaining a copy of certain information in a portable format, or limiting particular processing activities.
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions may also have the ability to object to certain processing or request restriction in defined situations. 6. Children's Privacy
Rynel is intended only for adults and is not directed to children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly seek, solicit, or maintain personal information from anyone under 18.
If it becomes apparent that information has been submitted by a minor, steps will be taken to remove it as promptly as reasonably possible. Parents or guardians who believe a child may have provided information through the app can contact support@rynel.com for review and deletion assistance.

7. Policy Updates
This policy may change from time to time as Rynel evolves, as features are added or retired, or as legal requirements shift. Revisions may be made at any time without prior individual notice when permitted by law.
When updates are material, the new version may be posted within the app, on the associated website, or presented through another reasonable channel such as an in-app notice. The effective date shown at the top of this page indicates when the current version began to apply.
